On November 4 & 5, in conjunction with the Mining Association of Canada and BC Hydro, the MABC is organizing a two day workshop on energy and greenhouse gas emissions management and reduction at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver.
Nov 4 Organized and hosted by BC Hydro and MABC and will focus on providing information on available BC Hydro initiatives to help your operation become more energy efficient. Included in this session will be information regarding possible funding for energy manager positions at your mine sites and baseline studies that will help identify fuel savings opportunities in all areas of your operations.
This day will also include a session to help develop new ideas for additional initiatives that BC Hydro could look at implementing to help us reduce our energy use and ghg emissions. The first day of the workshop is jointly sponsored by BC Hydro and MABC.
Nov 5 This workshop will be facilitated by the Mining Association of Canada and is a training session on their new energy and greenhouse gas management system guidance document, Energy and GHG Emissions Management Guidance Document.
