Vancouver, BC – MABC released the following statement from Michael Goehring, President & CEO, in response to the federal government’s 2025 budget:
“Today’s federal budget puts critical minerals and mining front and centre in Canada, with new measures and tax incentives that will improve the industry’s competitiveness and attract investment in critical mineral and mining projects in BC.
“Budget 2025 is a solid step forward in positioning Canada and BC as a leading global supplier of the critical minerals and metals that our allies need. In BC, it will help unlock approximately $41 billion in new investment in critical mineral and mining projects across our province.
“Critical minerals and mining hold the potential to drive a new wave of economic growth for British Columbians – creating well-paying jobs, strengthening local and First Nations communities, and generating revenues for government services.”
